Coach Pitch

Ages 6-8

Season Cost - $90

overview

Emphasis continues on learning the game and hitting live pitching from a coach. This league has 2 parts to the learning processes. In the regular season no records are kept, coaches umpire their own games, all players play defense while moving to a new position each inning and all players bat in a continuous order. The second part is a competitive tournament in which scores are kept, volunteer umpires are used and a champion will be declared. This is a player's first experience with emphasis being placed on winning. In the tournament all players are still required to play defense and bat in continuous order, however, players are allowed to play the same position (so higher skilled players will play more important positions).

PLAYERS MUST HAVE AT LEAST ONE YEAR OF T-BALL EXPERIENCE AND MEET AGE REQUIREMENTS TO PLAY IN THIS LEAGUE

  10. During regular season, a defensive player cannot play the same position more than one inning. Coaches must rotate player positions every inning.
  11. During the tournament, a defensive player may play the same position the entire game, allowing higher skilled players to play more important positions.
