Opening Day Next Saturday May 11th!

2024 Opening Day is next Saturday May 11th. We are very excited to begin, what we are expecting to be an amazing year. With the season starting, we wanted to send out some important reminders and information.

Opening Day Ceremonies will begin at 9am on Field 3. We encourage all teams from T-ball to Koufax to come and be recognized. Wear your jerseys and show the sponsors that make this league possible. We will have some special guests joining us to throw out our first pitches, sing and play our nation anthem and raise our flag for the season. It is going to be a great morning to we hope everyone can make it Saturday morning. The Dixon Dukes also play at the complex Saturday and our friends from Kona Ice will be there all day! Come out and enjoy a day at the ballpark.

A few reminders about some important policies at the Al Morrison Baseball Complex:

1. There is NO SMOKING OR VAPING in the complex. Please take it across the road towards the river or the creek.

2. NO DOGS are allowed at the complex, under the Dixon Park District policy. While we love our four-legged friends, with so many kids running around we don’t want to risk any incidents, no matter how friendly they are. Service dogs are allowed with the proper papers.

3. There is NO PARKING in the boat parking area, the grass area of the parking lot, and along the creek. Yes, we know parking can be a challenge, but we must leave these spaces open for safety and to accommodate the boaters using the docks.

4. There will be a board member available any day there are games at the complex. If you have issues with anything, please seek them out at the concession stand. Our workers will point you in the right direction to the person in charge that evening.

5. WE ARE HERE FOR THE KIDS! Please act in an adult manner and remember that our coaches are volunteers, umpires are kids working to make summer money, our concession stand workers are doing their best, and the kids will not be signing their college NIL/MLB contract this summer. We reserve the right to ask individuals or groups to leave if we feel the actions or language being displayed does not meet the conduct policies listed under our general rules.

We hope everyone is as ready for this wonderful season as we are. There have been many improvements to the complex, with many more to come that we hope you enjoy. Can’t wait to see everyone next Saturday and all season long!
